Patricio Cabello Cádiz

Bio

Patricio Cabello es Psicólogo de la Universidad Central de Chile, Doctor en Psicología Social por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Máster en Métodos de investigación Social por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Magíster en Antropología y Desarrollo por la Universidad de Chile.

Su investigación se centra en la formación de habilidades digitales y sus implicancias para la inclusión social, la participación, la ciudadanía y la educación. Por otra parte, se centra en el estudio del aprendizaje colaborativo y su relación con el desarrollo de habilidades para el siglo XXI. Ha sido consultor de UNESCO y UNICEF en proyectos de inclusión digital de niños, niñas y adolescentes y ha participado como investigador principal en diversos proyectos (FONDECYT 11140751, PLU140009, Kids Online Chile) y como coinvestigador en otros proyectos. Además, se desempeña como coordinador del comité de Ciudadanía Digital de la Fundación Common Action Forum y es parte de la coordinación de la Red de Ciudadanía Digital, en colaboración con CEPAL y la Biblioteca del Congreso Nacional.


Patricio Cabello is a. Psychologist from the Central University of Chile. He holds a Doctoral degree in Social Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid, a Master degree in Social Research Methods from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master degree in Anthropology and Development from the University of Chile.

His research focuses on the development of digital skills and their implications for social inclusion, participation, civic engagement and education. On the other hand, it focuses on the study of collaborative learning and its relationship with the development of skills for the 21st century. He has been a consultant to UNESCO and UNICEF in projects for the digital inclusion of children and adolescents and has participated as a principal investigator in diverse projects (FONDECYT 11140751, PLU140009, Kids Online Chile) and as a co-researcher in other awarded projects. In addition, he serves as coordinator of the Digital Action Committee of Common Action Forum Foundation and is part of the coordination of the Digital Citizenship Network, in collaboration with ECLAC and the National Congress Library.
